Our students recently had the privilege of taking part in a careers talk and Q&A with former professional footballer Toni Duggan.

Toni shared her incredible football journey, beginning as a young player at Everton, before going on to play at the very highest level for clubs including Manchester City, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. She also spoke proudly about representing England on the international stage and what it meant to wear her country’s badge.

Alongside her career highlights, Toni offered honest and powerful advice about resilience, mindset, and managing the pressures of a busy life. One message that really resonated with our students was her advice:

“Don’t get too high with the highs and too low with the lows.”

The session sparked thoughtful questions and meaningful discussion, encouraging students to reflect on perseverance, balance, and how lessons from elite sport can be applied to education, careers, and everyday life.
