The Year 9/10 Flag Football team represented the school brilliantly at the Regional Finals, finishing an impressive 3rd place against some extremely strong opposition. After successfully qualifying through a tough group stage, the team narrowly lost in the semi-final to the eventual tournament winners. The standard of competition throughout the day was exceptionally high, but the lads rose to the challenge and showed fantastic resilience, teamwork and determination in every game. Their success was built on the massive amount of time, effort and commitment they have put into training and practice throughout the year. A special mention goes to Suvesh J, who was awarded MVP in 3 out of the team’s 6 matches and came incredibly close to being named the overall tournament MVP. Credit must also go to Sam R and Aidan W, who showed excellent creativity and game understanding by designing some of the team’s own plays, which were successfully used during matches at the tournament. Every player did the school supremely proud and were excellent ambassadors both on and off the field.
