Lamiyah B - LCFA U14 Girls’ County Cup
Congratulations to Lamiya B and her teammates on their fantastic achievement in becoming the LCFA U14 Girls’ County Cup winners.
Representing Townsey FC U14 Inter, the team delivered an outstanding performance in the final, securing a well-deserved 1–0 victory over Byrom FC U14. Their hard work, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition have truly paid off, making this a memorable achievement for both the players and the club.
This is a wonderful accomplishment, and everyone at school is incredibly proud of Lamiya and her teammates for their success. Well done to all involved!
Mark Farrington from Townsey Inter Girls commented:
"Lamiyah joined us at Townsey Inter at the start of the season and has been a fantastic addition to an already talented group of girls. She is a left-sided attacker with pace to burn and a natural eye for goal.
It's been a tough season for the girls. I always try to raise the bar for them, and this season we've been playing against Under-13 boys, which has been challenging. However, all the hard work was in the tank when we needed it most last Thursday in the County Cup Final.
We've enjoyed plenty of success over the years, with lots of trophies in the bag, but this is our biggest achievement to date. There is no greater accolade to win in amateur football, and Lamiyah has more than played her part. She's a fantastic player, but more importantly, a fantastic kid who has made me, her teammates, and her family proud this season.
Well done, kiddo."
