25 of our fantastic Year 10 students have successfully completed the STEM Technicians Programme, that teaches students about careers in science.

Students took part in hands-on practical activities designed to introduce them to real-world science roles. Some of which included:

  • Water quality technicians testing clean water

  • Food scientists exploring how to enhance bread flavour

  • Electrical technicians building batteries

  • Health technicians creating lateral flow tests

Students ended the programme by completing a quiz that suggested possible science-based careers tailored to their interests and strengths.

Students were fantastic and many commented on how inspired they felt by the range of careers they hadn’t previously considered!!
