Year 7 Mark the End of Their First Year with a Visit to Chester Zoo

This week, our Year 7 students rounded off their first year at Alsop High School with a trip to Chester Zoo. The visit was a chance to recognise their efforts and progress over the past year in a fun and engaging way.
Throughout the day, students explored the zoo’s many exhibits and saw a wide range of animals from different parts of the world. From elephants and big cats to smaller creatures and colourful birds, there was plenty to see and learn about.
The trip gave students the opportunity to spend time with their friends and teachers outside the classroom, enjoying a day out together after a busy year. Many took the chance to learn more about conservation and the importance of protecting wildlife.
Staff were pleased to see how well Year 7 have settled in this year, showing maturity and a positive attitude to their studies. The day was a good way to bring everyone together before the summer break.
Thank you to all the staff who helped make the trip possible and to the students for their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm throughout the day. We look forward to seeing them return as Year 8 students in September.
