Student Spotlight: Charlie Neill – Karate Superstar
We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of Charlie Neill, a talented member of our Year 9 cohort. Charlie began karate at the age of six and has since shown remarkable dedication to the sport, competing and winning medals at regional, national and international levels.
Most recently, Charlie took part in the 40th UK International Open Championships, where he won a bronze medal in kata and a gold medal in the team fighting competition, competing alongside his teammate, Jamie.
Earlier this year, Charlie was selected to represent his country as part of the JKS England Kata & Kumite Squad— an exceptional accomplishment that reflects his hard work and commitment. His ambition is to go even further by competing for Team GB at the Olympic Games.
Charlie not only excels in karate but also brings the same focus and positive attitude to school, acting as a fantastic role model for his peers. We are all extremely proud of him and look forward to seeing what he achieves next.
