Year 7 students have had a strong start to the term, showing great enthusiasm and focus in their Art lessons. Their first project has explored observational drawing of a fish, where they have been carefully studying shape, proportion, and detail. Students have also been developing their skills in tone and mark making, experimenting with different techniques to bring depth, texture and realism into their work.

It has been fantastic to see the creativity and effort that each student has brought to the classroom. These early pieces demonstrate both technical progress and individual artistic flair, setting a positive tone for the rest of the year.

For those who are keen to push their skills even further, Art Club runs every Monday and Thursday after school. This is a brilliant opportunity for students to experiment with new materials, work on personal projects, and enjoy creating in a supportive, inspiring environment.

We are excited to see how Year 7’s artistic journey continues to develop over the coming months!
