Y11 National Junior Development Boxing Champion

We’re bursting with pride as our Year 11 student Aiden has been crowned National Junior Development Boxing Champion in the Under 70kg category!
His journey through the championships was nothing short of spectacular, a true display of talent, dedication, and fighting spirit.
Aiden began the tournament with a bye into the Pre-Quarter Finals, where he faced a strong opponent from the East Midlands. Showing his composure and class, Aiden boxed brilliantly to secure a confident win and move into the next stage.
In the Quarter Final, Aiden faced a tough southpaw, a challenging style for any boxer, but he rose to the occasion. It was an intense, tactical battle, but Aiden’s sharp technique and relentless determination saw him through to victory, earning his place in the Semi Final.
On the day of the Semi Final, Aiden’s scheduled opponent decided not to step into the ring, perhaps sensing what was to come against the pending champion! This meant Aiden advanced straight to the Final, fully focused and ready to finish what he started.
In the Final, Aiden delivered a sensational performance, stopping his opponent in the first round with a display of power and precision worthy of a champion. His dominance throughout the tournament was unquestionable, Aiden didn’t lose a single round on his way to gold.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to Aiden’s hard work, discipline, and passion for boxing. Everyone at Alsop High School is incredibly proud of him and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our new national champion.
Congratulations Aiden!
